Default Discussion: Timing and other data being lost from the forum, working on a project.

Hello everyone, have been lurking and trying to come up with some procedures for tuning my car. I play a video game that I do some logging with spreadsheets and such looking for trends (Elite: Dangerous, Thargoid (alien) stuff)

Have been getting frustrated that either info is scattered between multiple threads and are just hard to find, and/or image links have vanished, so I have started to grab what I can and save them in a format that is not dependent on an image host.

I have started with images of some ignition maps I have found on this site over the years, and converted them into a google document spreadsheet. Several of them were 12x12, so I used Tuner Studio to input the map by hand and then re-binned the table to generate a 16x16 for those that would be using those size tables instead. I am also showing an added section to give an idea how far advanced or retarded the timing is compared to the DIYAutotune "base map"

I had named the images when I downloaded them, but some of them I cannot find the original threads, but the ones that I have been inputting so far I have tried linking to the post it was from. I have also tried to make notes of what other modifications to people can compare to their vehicle to get an idea of what others have used. The tunes that are drastically different have the mod list highlighted in red on the far left side, so you can highlight and read the full list in the cell as several are many lines.

This is going to be an ongoing project for myself, and I hope that people will be able to submit more data so I can expand it beyond just ignition maps. For example, next I would like to start getting examples of acceleration enrichment, and try to do the math to try to help it calculate for different size injectors/deadtime to get people close and to get an idea what works for different size injectors.

If anyone has any ideas for ways I could expand this, or if anyone knows some spreadsheet magic to be able to do things like comparing two maps somehow, please add in some suggestions.

This link is just to view the file, if you want to make a copy for yourself, you can then resize some of the original timing map images I have on the first column that is shrunk down so they do not fill the space.

That's a tremendous undertaking but will be a useful tool for you and others. I'll check it out the next time I'm on my computer.

The obvious thing it is missing is fuel type.

and engine specs. Not sure what the benefit of this spreadsheat is compared to the work that goes in it.
