Braineack, we didn't remove any fuse. I remember you mentioned NOT to remove that fuse a while back, so I didn't :)
The fuel pump was jumped though.. I'm wondering if maybe it's a TPS issue? if the MS is in flood clear mode, it won't send any fuel to the engine right? When i try to calibrate the TPS i always get '128' whether throttle is fully depressed or not at all.. Does this matter? is there a specific way to tell the MS to completely ignore the TPS readings? |
there's no TPS. manually enter 0 an 255 into those banks.
|
i'm outside now.. i set the tps values to 0 and 255.
not sure if it matters, but the throttle % under realtime display is constantly ********. the calibration value went from 105 to 40 in a matter of 5 minutes. also -- the 'launch on' box is always red at the bottom of the screen.. does that matter? -tomaj |
so any MS pros around the NY/NJ border? If not, i'm getting ready to give up on this thing, you can keep an eye out for a nice MS in the classifieds :)
anyone want to trade for an MSPNP maybe? -Tomaj |

The MS only controls the ground. If when the MS is in place and you're not seeing a +12v reading, then you must be removing the INJ Fuse at the same time... Did you guys jump the fuel pump to turn on in the diagnostics box? You shouldn't have removed ST_SIG, this isn't a MSPNP and it wasn't in my original instructions. If the ST_SIG fuse was pulled, it's possible the fuel pump wont turn on, even with F/P and GND jumped in your diagnostics box. This is not the case with the Megasquirt. We removed no fuses and the fuel pump was jumped and is audible on key on. --- To be totally honest, I think its your megasquirt. I verified your harness and its fine, but the injectors are not getting triggered. If you built the MS correctly it should be working. Did you test it on your car prior to shipping it? |
Hey Sam, thanks for the support!
I'm just getting a little frustrated by the whole thing! |
send it back and ill check it out.
|
Braineack, thanks. I left a message at a local tuner shop right down the street from me... i''ll see if they're familiar w/the MS.. if not, i'll be sending it back asap!

^dont bother witha shop dude.
i dunno what the issue was on mine but it was stupid. Brain turned it around real quick like. He built it, let him troubleshoot it.. too many chefs in the kitchen is no good |
The issue with yours makes me face palm myself when I think about it...
|
Hey can you e-mail or PM me your address so I can send it out today?
|
I dropped it off at USPS today
|
It'll be fixed and back in the mail tomorrow. It was obvious what was wrong as soon as I lifted the cover off.

got the MS back today. Plugged it in, started on the first try.
I got a couple of nice big pops, the 1st couple of times i turned on the ignition, i guess my priming pulses were a bit long? anyway, the car started and was rough until i tweaked a couple of things, but now it idles somewhat decently. I'm going to install my WBo2 and the IAT next! |
I bet he forgot the injector circuit.
Fess up Scott, what did you mess up? |
it's possible i forgot a key component of the injector circuit.
