http://megatunix.sourceforge.net/
Megatunix is free and will work, it doesn't have autotune but you should be able to use it with Megalogviewer.
I have an intel based macbook and run parallels with XP, so I run Megatune. You could do the same with Virtual PC.

I use VMware to run XP on my mac. It's not free, but for the small fee, it's worth it. Works just great.

I believe that Bootcamp is now either part of OS X Leopard, or available for free.

You are running an Intel Mac, aren't you?

1. Erase OSX
2. Install XP
3. Win

Should be able to run WINE under OSX, then run the windows version through WINE.

You can partition your drive, install XP and use bootcamp for free.

EDIT: oh didnt see you found a solution. well for other people FYI.

like most people say. use bootcamp if you have leopard

theres something called "cider", it creates a WINE statew here you can actually run windows applications natively with OSX, but i dont trust it, cause not most of the applications that i used worked, only a few.

if thats not an option, you can try using a windows emulator, but i dont recommend it because of possible communication errors that can occur with sharing ports between the two at teh same time. you gotta pay for these usually....theres also crossover, but you gotta pay for that also
(unless you know where to look)

the last option is to use megatunix, but that requires you to download a whole load of shit before it actually works. This requires adding libraries for X11 and whatnot, and uninstalling all of it requires time as well as installing. What you think is a few megabyte download turns into a couple of hundred megabytes for just one program. it took me a good week to get all the library shit before it actually worked.

I use VM ware to run a copy of win 2k and run megatune that way.
