MS Newb Questions Regarding AFM and Idle Droop
1) Why remove the AFM if you're running a recirculated BOV w/ MS in parallel? Doesn't sound like it restricts flow much.
2) Is there any way to avoid the idle droop/AC stall other than getting a variable TPS? I have a 1.6, btw. Thanks. |

Thanks. As far as your idle droop, hopefully a 1.6'er can chime in |

Do all 1.6 squirters have a droppy idle and AC stalls when running in parallel?
not at all. My idle (was) perfect, A/C or not.
my diy built pnp is fine with or without the ac on.
Sounds like you might need to clean your IAC valve. Take the throttlebody off and clean that all out to including the idle adjustment hole and all that mess.
So there are NO advantages in keeping the AFM?
why would there be.
you already take 2 out of three functions away from it. It's just a big hunk of metal. |
