Default Harness Assembly Clarification / Standalone Conversion Troublshooting

Here's a snapshot of what I've done to my harness so far (highlighted in orange). My question is on this "GRN/WHT PIN 29 CLUTCH" comment on the bottom left. My understanding is that this would be used in the case launch control, etc. was being used. In my case, my PIN 29 is my FAN CONTROL, and launch control, etc. is not being used, therefore 1V in the bottom left corner will remain empty.

Please confirm.

K perfect. I'm done with the MS and the harness now. So I've got Fan Control, EBC (not used since I've got the supercharger), and the A/C jumpers per Joe P's thread.

Another quick one before I get into the car: from the mt.wiki I find this reference quoted below:

http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/harness-assembly
"On 90-95 installs, a 1K 1/4 watt resistor should be installed in the diaganostics box across B+ and IG- Without this resistor the dash tach will not be functional because the stock ECU provides this pull-up; since we remove the stock ECU, we must replace the pull-up."

Now, I do not see this referenced in the Build Your Own Megasquirt thread here:
https://www.miataturbo.net/useful-saved-posts-8/how-make-install-your-own-diy-megasquirt-13676/

Is this applicable or not?

Well, that was pretty unsuccessful. Lots of zeros on the screen.

The fans keep coming on the moment I turn the key...not sure why this is the case. Injectors aren't firing and I didn't even touch those in the conversion...

Did you install the firmware properly?

I didn't touch the firmware yet. The car had been running perfectly in parallel prior to this. I'm converting to standalone.

In parallel, the MS was hardwired to the factory ECU for CLT, TPS, O2, CAS, and was tapped for switches to the IGN and Fuel. The AIT signal was the only thing that bypassed the factory ECU and was hardwired into the MS.

The main changes I made were: added PWM idle control per megamanual; added fan control, a/c control, and built the harness per https://www.miataturbo.net/showthread.php?t=13676 .

Here's the msq. that I've used for the parallel operation, along with pictures of the changes I've made for the conversion.
