MS + Uego on N/A NA
Since I'm still N/A (stock DP), I'm trying to set up MS temporarily so I can learn how to tune.
Should I: 1) Just remove the narrowband from the stock DP and plug my Uego into it? My car w/ MS + WB doesn't need a NB sensor to run correctly, right? So this should work? Or 2) Go get a bung welded on the stock DP? |
If it's standalone you have no need at all for the NBO2. If parallel the stock ECU will throw a code but since it isn't controlling fuel/timing it doesn't matter.

From what I remember, the stock location for the WBO2 is ok since I'm stil N/A?
Am I remembering this correctly? |

Pat, weren't you supercharged when you had the LC-1 @ the stock location, though?
|
Nope, never finished the SC stuff. I had a 100 shot direct port though. Mount the sensor in stock location w/ no heat sink and you will kill it. And you won't be the first.

I ran the WB sensor in stock location without a heat sink for about 2500 miles with no issues. Its still going strong after about 4000 miles, has not required re-calibration a single time. The PNP timing map is pretty close to spot on for a n/a engine so it shouldn't really overheat. Just keep the EGT in control (not too lean or too rich).
