MS1 custom wideband curve?
 

I have been struggling with voltage differences between my wideband and my MS1. It seems to be about .5 Lean on the megasquirt throughout the entire range. I have tried matching the grounds with no success. I am now considering doing a custom linear curve but I need to know what is involved to do this on MS1.

Setup:
96 standalone setup
MS1 running 10g hires
PLX wideband powered by the ECU 12V directly at the boomslang harness

My grounding layout includes all factory grounds in tact plus:
-8 gauge wire from the battery to the rear deck right next to the ecu. This is where all my stuff is grounded. Knocksense, PLX, etc. My boomslang ties into this with both sensor grounds & power circuit grounds.
-8 gauge wire from the rear deck to the rear of the intake manifold.


What is needed to do a custom curve? new .inc file & reflash the firmware? Is it worth it? If I choose to just offset everything in tunerstudio does anything other than the AFR table need to change?

EDIT: if I change the lamdasensor.inc aren't I just changing the tunerstudio gauge but not the actual megasquirt info. Will my EGO correction work correctly to the correct target or will I need to modify and burn any firmware?

I have similar questions as you. Tunerstudio reads about .5 leaner than my gauge. Up until I fix it I just figure it will give me an extra cushion of "richness" in my fuel map when using VEAL.

Also, your grounds are retarded. There is no need to ground battery to the ECU location. There is nothing wrong with the stock grounding scheme. Before adding all the extra grounds, have you even read the grounding guide?
Megasquirt grounding

Yeah I have read that and am using that scheme. All factory grounds still in place and sensor grounds go right to the megasquirt.

The 8awg wires were put in back when I was running parallel a few years back and had a BAD noise issue. It turns out the issue was related to some incorrect grounds to my stock ecu in the Boomslang harness, but I never pulled out the 8awg wires, even after I went to full standalone.

Is it retarded? No not really. Is it necessary? Nope.
