trouble starting 92 w/ MS-II
I just updated my board to MS-II (12v to JS9, added CAS input circuit from MS-II/Extra docs, and removed other wires going to cpu i/o).
I'm having a bit of trouble getting the car to start. It turns over (and syncs), but doesn't get anywhere. When I pop my OEM ECU back in it runs badly for a moment, which tells me that the injectors are working. It occasionally backfires, which tells me it's sparking (to some degree).
Running MS2/Extra v3.03h... works great on the stim.
Attached is the MSQ I'm using. It's based on the DIYPNP one for 94-95 miatas. The only thing I changed is the frequency on the idle valve (30.5 x 5 = 160hz-ish).
FYI I'm using Joe's inverted spark output. Ignitor stays cool to the touch.
Logs are attached. I adjusted the reqfuel between 7.0 and 15.0 or so. I also adjusted the idle cranking DC between about 10 and 80dc. And I adjusted the trigger angle offset between -10 and 10deg.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Come on, I know I'm not the only one running MS-II here. Send me your flippin msq.
FYI I just tried MS2/Extra 2.1.0 (release) and started with the default config. More-or-less all I changed were the basic engine constants, the idle valve frequency, and the ignition input settings. Everything else looks good enough to get the car started.
I also checked everything on the stim again, and compared injector, spark, and idle valve output voltages, and everything looks good....

I don't smell fuel, but when I plug the OEM ECU back in it fires *instantly* and runs rough for a moment. After apparently flooding the engine a few times I modified the code so I could use the inverted OEM tps to activate flood clear.
I don't see why it wouldn't be sparking... I haven't made any modifications to the spark circuit. It does occasionally pop/backfire which suggests to me that it's getting fuel & spark.
I suspect that it's a timing issue (I don't really know where to set the trigger angle).
I haven't had anybody around to help me check the timing and whether it's sparking or not. Hard to confirm those from the driver's seat

Well, if you dont smell fuel, maybe youre not getting any fuel in some cylinders. Check for spark first man. Use the screwdriver trick. Its easy to see it, even from the drivers seat. Do it to each one if youre using cops. If youre not, you only really need to do it to cylinder 1 and 2 just to make sure those coil packs are firing.
Then double check the injectors. I helped a buddy install his and the car wouldnt run right. We found out one injector was stuck closed even after it was flowtested and cleaned. Sent it back to be recleaned, and that did the trick. Not saying your cars injectors are frozen, but we are trying to make sure we x-out each factor.
You can check the spark plugs or shine a light down the hole to see if the pistons are moist. Consequently, you can smell the holes for fuel.

You beat me to it, sorry I missed the thread Justin :( I realised when I installed my MSII that the firing order was 180deg out of sync, took a bit of faffing to work it out too.
