ms3pnp Car dies after start

So i just switched from ms2 to ms3, seems like there must be different settings cause I finally got the car to start but right after it start it dies. Not sure if there are new settings that I don't know about that have t be changed or what. the car starts and runs when the vacuum line isn't hooked up to the megasquirt, but right when I put it on the car dies. I have made a log of this happening and then me start it after it dies.

Just reread your post...so the map sensor being provided a reading then? Since you start at 75.8kPa, and when it "runs" you're at 75.2kPa.

Also, something's odd with your VE - it drops from 63 to 42 at ~11 seconds...?

Sorry if it is confusing, I might have just confused everyone with the log. That original log is my starting it with the vacuum line not attached to the megasquirt. The car isles and everything when the line isn’t attached to the megasquirt. I just wanted to showcase that, that’s why it is idling at 75kpa because of the vacuum leak from that. In the middle of the log, probably at 11secs, is when I plug the vacuum line into the megasquirt

I'm actually not familiar if you're able to just load an ms2 msq to an ms3. Not sure if this is true. I'd recommend loading the basemap, and recalculating the REQ. Is your car a 2L with 1050 injectors?

GreyMiata 02-02-2019 04:15 PM

It’s 1.8 with a .5 mm bore and id1000 injectors.

You should log with the vacuum tube attached from the getgo.

yea the computer I am using wasn't connecting to the internet, just got it. Here is the of just the startup with the vacuum attached.

Still odd that you're at 75kPa atmospheric. Also, something's happening to your dwell. Every time it spikes up, the injector pulsewidth spikes up as well. Also, your car's out of warmup, but there's still 135% base fuel being put in. That's all I got.

GreyMiata 02-02-2019 06:41 PM

Yea I don’t get it. Tomorrow I guess I’ll just use a base map and just change everything. Just gonna plug my old ms2 in

I don't know what you have done to the ms3pnp base map or what mods you have done to your car but using the base map and settings from the ms3pnp is the way to go. This is assuming the ms3pnp is for the same year and engine of the car using the stock ignition and fuel (seq, batch), etc.

You mentioned id1000s so at the very least you have to alter req fuel. If you have other mods and your VE, spark, AE, and other stuff is already tuned well then you can copy/paste that over.

Do not attempt to transfer a ms2 msq into the ms3. Too many differences between the two in hardware and software.

GreyMiata 02-03-2019 11:14 AM

Yea I’m gonna just do that. I’ll let you know how it goes.

You have the incorrect MAP sensor selected. If you have the right one chosen it will read around 100kpa before you crank it.
