MS3PNP and DIYAuto EBC

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys - so I took the plunge and purchased an MS3PNP as I was originally going for a piggyback to beat emissions. Screw that, and the MS3PNP is here. Watched tons of videos and tutorials so I think I am in a good spot with the software itself, but the wiring part is difficult due to the lack of instructions.

I am looking to add the EBC, but I do not know which PINS they should be hooked up to. Does anyone know? My guess are PINS A and R, PIN A for a ground and PIN R for both the power and boost control settings?

Can anyone throw me a bone on this one??? Image of the connector harness is attached.

Thanks in advance!

Don't use pin A as that is for a sensor ground. Your boost control solenoid is not a sensor.

Connect one of the two wires from your solenoid to chassis ground. It doesn't matter which wire. Connect the other wire to one of your high current outputs. Pin R is fine and is likely what the tune is configured to use.

Thank you very much!!! PIN R and a Chassis ground

I think they high current outputs still trigger the low side. In which case you’d want 12v and pin R.

Thanks Curly! PIN R for sure, but I think I am going to run the ignition turn-on power to a fuse instead of the MS3.

For future reference:

3.3.3 High current outputs These are ground switched outputs with a maximum current of 5 amps, just like the injector output channels (in fact, it’s the same transistor type). These can be run in an on/off fashion or use pulse width modulation. Flyback voltage spikes are clamped at 36 volts to help the valve close rapidly. They typically work well with boost control solenoids and nitrous solenoids, which cycle fully off and fully on
