MS3x Issues
So i just finished putting together a ms3x following the guides on trubokitty.com. When i try to load the firmware, the computer doesn't see anything, i also used portcheck to verify the port was open. This leads me to believe its something to do with the ms3. I've disconnected TPS sensor, pulled the 10A fuse and disconnected coils, i'm not sure if there is anything else i'm missing. I will post some pictures to see if anyone can spot any red flags with the assembly, and please forgive my less than stellar soldering skills, i've never done anything like this before so please bare with me :)

Did you do the voltage checks on the pin header for the daughter card before installing the daughter card?
No but i believe i skipped over that because i didn't have a harness wired or the simulator. Is there any voltage checks i can do now to ensure the ms3 is functioning? I plan to start by seeing if there is 12V at any of the harness connections ends to see if there is an issue with the harness. Thanks for the response

are you loading firmware from the .bat file command, or through Tuner Studio?
I was using the ms3x loader application that was included with the firmware download on trubokitty.
okay, weird. ive never had luck loading firmware from scratch from TS.

MS3XV30_Hardware-1.4 page 227 This makes diagnosing pretty easy. Especially if you use the USB connection, the connection is coming straight from the daughter card and processor. If the daughter card has the proper voltage and it's not connecting, then it's either a daughter card issue, or a computer port/driver issue. Did your computer install drivers successfully? Are you using an FTDI chip based cable, and do you have the necessary drivers for it (if it didn't automatically install)? |

I wouldn't ever skip over the voltage checks.

did you ever install u6? i cant ever see it in the pics.
but quickly looking at your harness picture, it looks like you soldered it upside-down... I has feel that's your issue.
U6 is installed. I was starting to think that might have been a possibility....i will double check.
It looks like you put 1B on 1A and so on...
So i had the harness wired upside down, i managed to load the firmware with no issues, Thanks! i was also wondering for a 1.8 swapped 1990 what basemap should be usedÉ
So i had it connected to tuner studio for a few min but after a power cycle i could no longer connect and was given an offline status which ended up turning into not connected. I can no longer find the ms3 when i search the port :(
can it be your port on the computer? thats the issue i was having before. installed the software for the usb to bd port?
