ms3x won't connect to tunerstudio
Alright this is my first post on a forum, I've managed to make it all the way to the point of attempting to start my car in megasquirt only with searching for answers so know I am here in my time of need. I built the ms3x with trubokitty.com instructions and tested everything with the jimstim all good. Got it in the car and was attempting to start it, had no luck, eventually I killed the battery after a multiple start attempts and changing settings in tunerstudio so I went for a jump start. After i plugged in the jump starter and tried to start I could no longer connect to the ms3x. The jumpstarter was the correct way although I suspect it still caused some damage because it was the only thing that changed. I'm just wondering what components would most likely be affected by a surge from the jumpstarter and what I need to test to move on with the project

There's a fuse, ST IGN, that has to be removed on some.
Are you using a GM IAT or did you use the MAF? MS won't work if voltage drops below 10 during cranking. |

Alright so some more info, I was able to reload the firmware and tested it with portcheck and it finds 1 valid port, ts still says not connected. Ts will detect it when I create a new project but everytime I hit test it comes back as failed.

Which firmware version are you using? I remember I had to switch back and forth to find the right one that worked for me.
Which cable are you using? |
I have been using 1.5 so I could def try like 1.4. The cable is a USB A to B amazon basics, It worked fine before yesterday so it's possible but I'm thinking it prob would be something else
