Default Ignition dwell settings

Mspnp2
FAB9 COP

Need help with dwell settings. Tried searching and all i found was spark blowout issues. Ive read some articles on msextra about dwell but still ignorant to the topic. Anybody with a similar setup that would like to share your experience that would be great.

My current settings are:

Cranking dwell(ms) 3.5
nominal dwell(ms) 3.5
spark duration(ms) 0.7

When i had my Cranking dwell(ms) set to 7.5 i could still smell unburnt fuel right after WOT.
Now it seems like a cleaner burn but i still think it can come down just a little bit more.
I'm afraid of burning up the module or coils. any input would help tremendously.

3.2ms and .7ms spark duration are FABs recommended settings

Cranking dwell has no affect on running dwell settings. You probably can not over dwell coils on cranking to the result of real damage, but you can under dwell them to the result of no spark.

To properly set running dwell on unknown coils, you REALLY need a scope. Anything else is a guess.
