1) Emilio told me that any vacuum 3 inches away from the throttle body was good. So I went with my cruise control plug on the back half of the manifold.

2) Hooked it all up, synced the timing, and fired it up. It was making a howling sound from the intake for the first couple minutes which eventually went away. I'm running the base tune that came with the unit.

3) It seems to have a idle issue. When the idle has settled, it holds around 650rpms, which seems low. When the revs come down it stumbles to like 500rpms and sometimes shuts down. I read about the idle situation and understand adjustments to AFR and timing may be needed. What do you guys think of the following?

Oh I almost forgot to mention how the MS holds the targeted AFR MUCH better than the stock ecu. When I would look a the wideband with the stock ecu, for example the idle would be constantly moving from 14-15.2. The MS stays within like .3 of the target. Very impressive :D

It does have some drivability issues and but I'm sure that will be worked out. :D

Maybe i'm just a little bitch, but if you're new to megasquirt, I would pull some of that timing up top when you start tuning with boost. 30deg at 7psi seems sketch without adding that in slowly with det cans.

I'll be NA for couple more months. I want to learn to tune and max it out NA then turbo in summer when I have more time :skid:

If you can find a pro, or at least very experienced amateur (friend who likes free beer) to help, you can dial in all the part throttle, idle, starting etc. Base map is for a bone stock engine so make sure you are no leaner than 13.0 AFR at full load at any rpm.

Appereantly no body that races has run MS. Couple people have AEM experience if that makes a difference. :/

Afrs are super rich when on the throttle but it stumbles if Im too aggressive on the throttle and so I'm driving it around like a grandma at this point.

I got the test n tune this Sunday but looks like I'll be mounting the stock ecu next to the ms. Not that I was thinking I'll have it figured out but I waaas hoping I could use the autotune feature but I'm having issues with my wideband.

I'm not sure if I did it right but I've attached my idle/drive back and forth log.:noob:
