MSPNP installed now car overheating

I installed a MSPNP in my car today and car started idled very good (both high and low idles) afr's were good. but after about 10 minutes, it started to overheat, the engine fan turned on but no help. I had a different ecu on the car before and never had this issue. I felt the upper radiator hose it is hot, lower radiator hose is cool, so I guess the thermostat is working. The car is turbo and with rx7 550cc injectors, everything looks as if its running good but why the overheating? please help?

did you forgot to set your base timing. or did you leave it locked at 10*?

Was the car turbo with the other ECU as well???

Doesn't make sense to me unless your fan is turning on way too late.

i left it locked at 10 to get it started

This is why it's overheating. Fire is going through the valves so it's not only overheating, but probably burning the valves. You could have followed the directions, now discipline yourself.

timing should only be locked at 10 to sync the MS output with the CAS rotation.

yeah i think my excitement got the best of me, so if i go and set my timing like i was supposed then i should be good?

yes.
