mspnp into stock ecu box

Thinking about putting my mspnp into the stock ecu box, has anyone done this? Is this possible with the pnp?

You'd probably have an easier time with a V3.0 than a MSPNP. Not too sure how a MSPNP would fit in there between the 3.57 main board and the PNP daughterboard.

v3.0 as in ms3?

But it isnt impossible is it?

V3.0 as in MS main board. However, the Microsquirt Module would be even easier to put in the stock case.

There are a couple difficulties with sticking an MSPNP in the stock case. One is that the connector has an extra section for the MSPNP's extra I/O, so it won't fit in the stock connector space.

I don't see how the PNP would be done....or why for that matter.

Hah, nice.

I only ask about fitting the PnP in the stock box because its what I have. Now, I am definitely willing to trade/sell off my PnP for a homebuilt MS in the stock box :)

I'm only asking because Im thinking about running STR the rest of this season and next. And if it progresses well I might try out some nation tour events next year and then hopefully make my way to nationals for the first time :)

why?

A standalone isn't legal in ST classes, unless it's in the stock housing.

is adding a map sensor?

Yes.

Most people use piggy-back systems, since those are legal as well.

Im kind of curious on this new STR class. I'd be able to run 15x9 6uls and up to 255mm rubber, obviously I'd be maxed with the 225mm with a 15' wheel. But I think tire to weight the miata could be a good contender. Especially a NA with a NB engine controlled by MS :)
