Mspnp2 on 96 miata new engine same ecu no start
I built a diymspnp2 and have been running it for at least five months on a 96 miata with stock engine.
New "race" engine was just installed. Everything seems to be of sound build and electronics seem to check out. I know this because we installed the old STOCK ECU and got the engine to run. And that was so very exciting. But the mspnp2 all of a sudden doesnt supply spark or fuel and no rpms. So I feel something went wrong with its ability to read the CAS. Also we installed a 36-2 trigger wheel on the ati damper. With this it has a nb crank sensor. So the MSPNP2 isnt picking up on the cas or trigger wheel. But started and ran on the factory ECU. DID I somehow kill the mspnp2 while we were installing the engine? I checked the board and there was a faint burnt smell coming from around the 76 pin adapter board. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...023591b031.jpg |
So no one has any ideas?

Is it a DIYPNP or an MSPNP2? Take a composite log. How did you wire in the NB crank sensor and you are sure it's correct?
