MSPNP2 not getting power

Okay So I really wanted to avoid making a new thread for this topic but i'm literally getting nowhere searching through a shitload of other threads discussing problems much further along than my issue. NB '99 BP4W

Im turboing my '99. Red RX8 injectors. MSPNP2. So I just finished dropping the motor in and connected everything back. Harness is all good to go. ugly/temporary downpipe shotgunning out of engine bay. Vacuum line coming off intake manifold routed through fire wall to MAP sensor bung on MSPNP . The megasquirt is not getting any power (does not show any connectivity when connected to my laptop in tunerstudio) So I plugged my stock ecu back in: starts up, runs (lumpy idle due to 500cc's) nonetheless it runs. Plug MS back in. Nothing. WHAT GIVES.

I completely understand that this is a rather vague noob issue, but im kinda hitting this roadblock not really knowing what do next. I was reading somewhere on msextra that there is some fuse that should be removed before messing with the megasquirt (only for NA's?) All my fuses are good. What connections give power and ground to the Megasquirt? I was under the impression that i would be able to plug this bitch and start with adjusting required fuel numbers. What am I missing? please, SCHOOL ME. Thanks in advance guys!

Also, is there anyone I should speak with over at DIYAUTOTUNE/Megasquirt that could help me trouble shoot this problem effectively? Recommendations/advice greatly appreciated.

You can reach us at support@diyautotune.com - but you said it's not getting power; do any LEDs turn on when the key is on?

Thanks for the reply Matt. No none of the LEDs on the ECU light up when the key is on.

Can you double check the part number on this MSPNP and make sure it's an MSPNP2-MM9900? Also, please email us so I can look up what you ordered and when.

Matt I sent you an email.

OK, a DIYPNP is going to be a different animal - make sure it's jumpered correctly for your year. (And a DIYPNP has no lights on it.)
