i finally drove my car with ve analyze on and i noticed that my numbers in the fuel table were really high. do i need to raise the required fuel? i am currently running 10-11 psi on what could be considered a gt28 (according to brain).

i also have a log attached and would like to know how i need to adjust my afr targets (if necessary) to be optimal for power at 11psi when needed and get decent mpg.

I like to think that i could get this tuned myself but i might end up going to a tuner. :noob:

I cannot upload the log because it is too large. is there a way i can trim some of the empty timeframe from the log?

your afr table is funky, it's not even going into boost...

Clos561 09-09-2011 07:59 AM

Weird. Can i email you my msl log file? Its pretty long and i went into boost a bunch of times.

did you see how funky my ve fuel table is?

Have you read the MS documentation at msextra.com? Start with the MS2 section. Req fuel is pretty easy to set if you input the correct values int he calculator. Then set your autotune to "easy" so it can adjustments without hitting the cells very often, and allow it to make a larger adjustment. Assuming your wbo2 sensor is working and calibrated correctly. This last part is a must.

Do a search for AFR table. There is a ton of info, and quite a few posted tables. If you want to go crazy safe with the afr table, then don't go leaner than 11.8 in boost. Once you've done some reading and have a little more confidence in your ability, you can start leaning out he lower boost regions.

Your VE table will probably look funky if it is making large corrections and you aren't hitting all of your cells. You also need to make sure your MAT correction is setup properly or your values will change as the car heats up. Wait until your car is fully warm and try to autotune while staying out of boost and hitting as many cells as possible. This will keep the < 100kpa cells from being dramatically affected by the increase in temp from the turbo if your MAT correction is shit. look at your log to see what the total amount of correction that is being applied to your ve, and then Gair which is the MAT correction.

If your head is spinning after reading this, then you need to do a lot of searching on this forum before asking more questions, because your knowledge base isn't where it needs to be.

I'll have to look when I'm home tonight. What injectors are you running?

But yeah, you need to fix that AFR table.

I'm so much worried about the actualy VE% numbers so long as the AFRs are correct. Does TS's AFR gauge match your WBo2 controller's gauge?

Clos561 09-09-2011 04:53 PM

460cc, for the most part yes. i cant really stare at the laptop when i drive but i try to remember what my afrs were when i was boosting via gauge then i watched it on mlv at home and they were accurate. also watched my gauge and computer a few times driving slow and idle etc, they matched.

miatauser884 09-09-2011 05:46 PM

Wel I would tune afr at idle to be around 13 and everything below 60kpa to be 14.7, everything above 100kpa 11.5, and then interpolate from the 60kpa to 100 kpa.

This should be a good base so that ehen you start fine tunign afr target for different regions the ve changes won't be too dramatic. How's your warmup enrichment. What is your afr as your car warms up? When do you have the warmup enrichment stop. Make sure that it is at 100% at whatever temp you want it to turn off.

I just realized that I don't know what MS you are running and I'm basing it on MS2.

try the attached. any better? the req_was a bit low for injector size. i altered the fuel map and AFR table and few minor things.

adjust the entire fuel table up or down to get the proper idle AFR.

Clos561 09-09-2011 07:51 PM

ill try it out when this crazy rainstorm passes over. should i leave the fuel map how u left it or let analyze run ?

Clos561 09-14-2011 09:34 PM

ive been using your afr map brain and i let the analyze make changes to the fuel values. car is running good, afrs are on point except my accel enrich sometimes gives it too much and i hit 10.9. good news is that i averaged 30mpg on my commute the past 2 days and that is with some wot pulls :)
