My fan is on.
I was driving in to work today and I realized that my fan was on... Which was strange because I didn't think the car was that hot, but I thought nothing of it. When I left, I switched the key in the ignition and the fan came on.
I checked on my laptops and nothing changed, it's set to turn on at 200 and turn off at 195. I don't really know what information to give... Just tell me and I'll get it. The car is a '96 running on a Brain-built DIYMS-I. |
its been 32 degrees here in Salt lake city the past week.. my car will still hit 202 and enough to kick my fan on as well, before the thermostat decides to open enough to flow through my radiator and drop it back to hovering around 180
i would not worry about it |
I have confirmed that the car is 100% cold when the fan kicks.

Stuck relay.
|
^^ Savington might be right. IIRC the MS-I firmware doesn't allow the fan to run without RPMs, even if it WAS over 200°F
|
will a stuck relay power a fan with the MS disconnected and the key on?
|
My 9093 randomly turns the fan on too, unless I play with the AC on/off button. When it turns on, it stays on. I'm not worried about it, don't care anymore.
