99 miata. Questions.
First.
i have a 99 miata, 1.8 non vvtI .
Non turbo but that is the plan.
I got a ms2 2.2 ecu used for 75$
It's for a rx7 and has a rx7 expansion card.
The parts I know.
wire my 37 pin to my 76 pin.
What specific things will I need to do to swap it from rx7 to Miata.
Will I need the eBay Miata altinator card? Any info would be nice. Am I missing anything?
Thank you!

You're doing it the hard way.
I would use the correct computer for the job.
But if I needed to control an alternator I would just swap to an NA8 alternator that uses an internal voltage regulator.

Maybe, but probably not. Resale on the ecu is around 300, it's a rx7 ecu, if all else fails I'll sell it... Could be more.
I should explain myself a bit better.
I'm in no rush to make this work right away. Im in the far northeast and I can't drive my car for... 4-5 months?
My thoughts are this so far. I could buy the 76 pin breakout board and densso style connector, and plumb that in. I'm not sure how to add on the 2nd 37 pin, but it looks like a daughter board. The other option is to take the 2 37 pins and wire it to a connector from onlinecompents.com
For the altinator, there is an addition board you can buy that fixes the volitage regulator issue. I'm looking for the right parts to buy.

Also. I'm very handy with electronics and soldering. I'm still learning about megasquirt and the challenge is the part I like. I didn't just want to buy a pnp. That is no fun for me .
Thanks

It also looks like you can just make it run ignition and timing, and fuel , and that will work just fine, more like a piggyback. that seems interesting as well.
I get you like to talk **** and looking at all your old posts you seem snarky etc. Again, fine, but not what i'm looking for. You haven't once explained any facet of the Ms2 v2.2 installation procedures. Why would I avoid it when no one can tell me what parts are missing or why its a bad a idea, from my research, a 99 Miata boom sling might be a great idea? I'm looking for solutions, not insults.
