NB race care setup

I'm building a NB race car (2001) and will be removing most of the stock wiring. I was thinking of using the PNP MS but without the stock harness that won't work. So I'm not sure what to use and would like your recommendations. I will also need to use the stock sensors and have the ability to control the variable valve timing to some extent. Alt, power steering, IAC are of little concern. Gauges will be AIM and Independent of the MS other then RPM.
Thanks

I hear the adaptronic controls VVT, but I think MS is working on it too. Brainiack can build you a MS for a good deal. Make sure you post up some pics quick or you will get bashed/ baned

Just strip the stock harness. Leave the wires/pins that are needed for the PNP ecus, remove everything else.

adaptronic or hydra. both can pretty much run the 01+ VVT cars, though there aren't many (any?) running tuned VVT setups on the adaptronic yet. sorry, i'm slow.

if you want pure plug and play, the earlier hydra models (2.1 and 2.5) have all the bugs worked out. Not sure about the 2.6.

The adaptronic is good, but it just hasn't been out in peoples hands long enough to learn the ins and outs as well. it is still a good unit in spite of that. it is also half the cost of a new hydra.

I've run both on my 01... for various reasons. when I switched to the adaptronic, it was installed in parallel with the stock ECU for emissions compliance.

all that said, i'd probably suggest the hydra if you want to get right to racing based solely on its tenure in the field. Jeremy at Flyin Miata can set you up very quickly.
