Need a good MSQ for 550s, 14psi
Hey guys, I havent installed my PNP or 550s or fuel pump yet, but I am already boosted with a greddy kit, FMIC, and all the other goodies. I was wanting to know where or if I could get a pretty good timing and fuel map from a similar set-up so it wouldnt be so hard for me to get it tuned out....Any help would be appreciated!

I think there have been a bunch posted, try searching. I know I've posted mine with 460s, and 550s are even more common. Good luck.

i did try searching, but the search was sooo wide and found just a bunch of other random stuff......Ill try it again with a more narrow search, thanks!

Do your own tuning, trust me, its the best way.
Use the MSpnp map as a base. |
I am going to tune myself....but isint the map only really good NA? I am now boosted, im just asking cause I have not hooked or messed with it at all yet. Just kinda wanting a semi close map to what I have so if I do run into any problems, Ill have that to look at and get a close tune off of, then tweek with it with my own preferences.

That map is a perfect base to start tuning. Its not good NA, and its not good for boost, but its incredibly conservative out of the box which makes it very safe.
Everyones cars are different, you start with someone elses map you may run into more problems then you need. |
The map is scaled for like 18 psi...so you wont fuck it up.
It'll piss you off the first couple of times about how rich it gets....though much much better than lean. |

Use the MSpnp map as a base. +a bazillion Everyone keeps asking for .msqs, maps or whatever. It's way too easy for someone else to have some setting different that will fuck your shit up. It takes longer to go through spark settings, crank settings, and idle controls on a cribsheet .msq than it does to run and analyze a datalog. I've finally got mine tuned to my car, and it runs WAAAY better than the 10 other SIMILAR .msqs I've tried. Sharing AFR targets is one thing...sharing all your settings and expecting it to work is quite another. Besides, you'll know what you're doing, and how to fix later tuning problems if you start base map, and tune from there. :2cents: |

Don't be lazy, this is your boosted Miata we're talking about. And it's not even hard. It's intimidating, trust me I know, but after you run your first datalog through MLV, and start to find all the control menus, it COULD NOT BE EASIER to have a very nice, "pretty damn good" tune on your car. Think: driving in 1 hour first night, very driveable within a couple of days spending ~15mins daily crunching through datalogs, pretty damn fast and hella driveable with another 2 hour night going through accel/decel, idle and warmup settings. You will be ready for dyno time within a week, with less than four hours in to YOUR OWN tune. You will spend at least this much time trying to figure out why someone's .msq has your idle bouncing from 1-3K rpm.
