Need help with Accel enrichment

OK, i thought i post my question here. I have been searching both here and m.net and can not figure out how to adjust acceleration enrichment.

I just installed 600cc injectors and was able to scale the VE tables where the car runs pretty good. I adjusted the cranking PW and that works pretty well too.

The problem is with accel enrichment. When i stomp on the accelerator the car stutters and wb shows a rich spike.

I cant figure out where acceleration enrichment PW settings are and what i need to do to make the tip in a little less rich.

Thanks.

Accel enrichment settings are in the acceleration wizard page which is in the basic settings menu in megatune.

Assuming that your enrichment was good before you installed the new injectors then just workout your percentage increase in flow and then reduce the enrichment time by the same percentage.

i.e upgrade from 300cc to 600cc = increase of 50%

reduce enrichment value from 6.0ms to 3.0ms

thanks. I figured it out. no more stutter. I just cut all the values in half and now it dips to around 11.8 when i stump on it. its crazy how full throttle at 6psi my duty cycle is at 40%. I love big injectors.

Is there a way to improve the idle dip when coming to a stop with the clutch in? I dont get it all the time but it does that once in a while. Sometimes the car even stalls. I've read people fix that by putting in a better TPS but is there any other less invasive way to do it? Maybe a slightly different tune ?

Thanks again.

play with the recovery and deadband #'s.

what are those?

go to the "closed loop idle control" window and press "f1".

More Closed Loop Settings

Deadband range
This is a range of rpm that you do not want it to bother changing duty cycle to regulate idle.
30 to 50 rpm seems to be good here try smaller values unitl it seems stable.

Adaptive idle control
This controls the time between idle control events. The goal is to have a Slow Recovery which is tuned to the engine's time constant at idle. You do not want it to hunt nor have falling idle speed. The Fast Recovery is how fast you want it to recover to a decent idle when the idle speed is higher or lower than the target this can be tuned for startup and to see what is needed to recover if idle speed drops significantly below target for example when the A/C or electric fans kick on and the idle drops below target.
The rpm values determine the curve. The lower value should be close to the dead band value and the upper one should be a bit further away, maybe 100 or 200 rpm
the next 2 values are time constants needed for startup and idle valve closure --Closure speed comtrols the speed at which the idle valve closes. It is the time step delay between each as it steps to a closed dc value --Startup delay is a wait time right after the engine is started that the system stabilizes before it attempts to find an idle speed

figured it out. Thanks Hustler.

Changed a couple setting just like it said in the help menu. it feels a little better but the idle still dips a lot. I did not touch the last two numbers. If i want to have the idle drop slower which numbers i need to play with and do i decrease them or increase them?
