Need some ignition coil advice
Both of my stock coils on my 99 are inop. So I'm thinking about doing a coil on plug setup rather than replacing the expensive ass stock coils.
Any advice on which Coils i should buy? 99miata MS2. |
This has been covered over and over in great detail, so...
http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/6606/14349196.png Your going to need to know how they work and how to hook them up anyway. I'm in a good mood so here's your one freebie: https://www.miataturbo.net/useful-saved-posts-8/upgrading-coil-plugs-all-years-cop-writeup-12704/ Don't ask to be spoon fed again. The next person may not be as gentle. |
+1 to that, there's probably hundreds of pages of threads on the topic.
I built COP harnesses for my 90 and 99 and it's pretty strait forward. The '99 cars don't have a tach signal (as seen in the 95+ schematics in the linked thread), so it's simpler to do than other years. |
Well i didnt know what i was looking for so to me it was easier to ask then find some information that i thought was right and turn out to be wrong. Sorry if this inconvenience anyone. I did look for some information but i was just having a little trouble thats all. But thank you for the help its appreciated.

We're running IGN-1A coils on our red Miata if you want super crazy hot coils. LSx coils - particularly the ones off flex fuel engines, which are distinguished by their heat sinks - are great if you want a cheap but high powered choice.

Nicely mounted MSD LS coils that inspired me to throw in with some Nology. http://www.flyinmiata.com/projects/c...ts.php?UID=888 (My answer to COP's)... |
