Need some ignition coil advice

Both of my stock coils on my 99 are inop. So I'm thinking about doing a coil on plug setup rather than replacing the expensive ass stock coils.

Any advice on which Coils i should buy?

This has been covered over and over in great detail, so...

Your going to need to know how they work and how to hook them up anyway.

I'm in a good mood so here's your one freebie:

Don't ask to be spoon fed again. The next person may not be as gentle.

+1 to that, there's probably hundreds of pages of threads on the topic.

I built COP harnesses for my 90 and 99 and it's pretty strait forward. The '99 cars don't have a tach signal (as seen in the 95+ schematics in the linked thread), so it's simpler to do than other years.

I have some 4-pin weatherpack parts that I bought to do mine, but wound up not using them after I hacked the connectors off of a dead coil pack instead. I may have bought some 3-pin stuff too, not sure, Imma hafta check my parts stash. Anyway, I'm not planning to use my weatherpacks so I can cut you a decent price on them. PM if interested.

We're running IGN-1A coils on our red Miata if you want super crazy hot coils. LSx coils - particularly the ones off flex fuel engines, which are distinguished by their heat sinks - are great if you want a cheap but high powered choice.

+ Nology plug wires to top it off. This is my plan when my stock coils fail.

My :2cents:

P.S.

Nicely mounted MSD LS coils that inspired me to throw in with some Nology.

Clean setup. I am looking into doing the same thing, but I would like to use the MSD GM 2 tower coils to be more compact.
