New member-New to MSpnp - W/map

Hey all,
got a 92 1.6 better than half way towards #turbogoals. Parts bought, MSpnp2 installed a few days back, in the middle of learning/tuning, dealing with all the new new. I have to say, the MS has made the little car wake up, and with very little manipulation so far. Again, I am on day 3-4 ... and with some of the horror stories Ive read about people getting lost within MS and having run-ability issues, I am super pleased so far. I included a map so anyone can see where Im at, but after first start, I made a few changes/mistakes and botched the whole party. Started with fresh base map, did some research, made some possibly better changes. and as it sits now, car starts great, cold/hot and runs really really well considering the lack of changes to the map. One hiccup - think of accelerator pump on an old carb ... when I punch the pedal, AFR's spike lean and the car hesitates just off idle briefly, causing a hiccup, like a bad accel pump condition. Than catches, and off we go. Under light accel, no issues. So I have work to do. HOWEVER, reality is I still am learning what manipulates what from MS to the car, and how it all affects the other.. So I am wondering now if the changes I made are inexperienced changes to get a result that in truth is the wrong way to go about it. Notice I am not using specifics here ... as I am still learning what/where/why with the new system. So .. take a look at my map, would love input - flaming even. Im a grown up, I can handle it. 1992 1.6 170,000k High miles, but it is a good, clean car that I bought 100% stock. MSpnp2 - GM AIT - AFM delete - Innovative MTX-L All else stock. (tuning related. I have done suspension, bushes, brakes, whls/tires upgrades, etc, etc) Funny, I thought it would be a drag dealing with a new ECU, but I find myself daydreaming at work about what I can/should do next. I have a feeling its going to get addicting ... Plan is to get comfortable tuning, maybe even get a good tune on it, then install the turbo parts. Jason |
