well if youre using one of my basemaps, it's tuned to work with the VE Idle Table with PID activation. If you turned off CL Idle for some unknown reason, guess what happens?

hint: you don't go into CL idle, and thus don't activate the VE idle table :P

yes. Plenty of writeups out there to tune idle. Tweak your idle cells for lowest KPA, you'll be somewhere around 13.5 - 14.7 when that's dialed in

lol basically you need to learn what each table/menu does before you go messing with things because you're just blindly pecking away at it right now, working backwards

I see what you mean Vlad

I am currently in Closed loop idle mode after looking back at it. Since I set it back to this, will it use the idle VE table you mentioned?

Apologies for bringing up a old thread. Did you ever find out what was causing the issue? Having a very similar problem with my newly built MS3x

Gary Bagley 11-07-2018 01:33 AM

Yeah, the issue was related to the deadtimes i had in my injector settings, coupled with the vdroop I was seeing at idle when fans and/or lights would kick on. This would cause the voltage to drop down to about 12-13v from 14.2v and the deadtime would change because I didnt have the battery voltage compensation set properly either. I fiddled a bit with both the deadtimes as well as the battery voltage compensation table and it seemed to help a fair bit to make it smoother. Not 100% better, but a lot better than when I posted this help thread.
