Newb trying to tune his freshly built 99 (DIYPNP/2871R)

Hey all!
After spending the past year+ rebuilding my stock 99 Miata in my garage, (wisco pistons (8.5:1), forged rods, turbo, six speed swap, etc etc.), the car is finally driveable, mechanically sound, and seemingly ready for tuning.
Although I've spent hours and hours reading Miata forums to successfully get to this point, this whole tuning thing has me worried. There are simply SOO many variables to adjust, and SOO much information on what changes to make, I'm concerned that by the time I've got it all figured out, I'll have hurt something. I figure, if i just get some feedback on whether I'm even headed in the right direction, it'll do wonders.

With that said, I attached four logs and the current tune. The car is still on stock injectors until I'm comfortable with the setup and ready to start making more power.

My specific issues are as follows:
1. When the car heats up, the idle begins surging (Attachment 177910) (I've tried playing with open loop, close loop, fuel maps, timing maps, etc. It runs perfect what starting and warming :-\)
2. When I come to a stop, the idle will dip low enough to cause the car to stall. (Attachment 177914) (I suspect this is related to my idle issue mentioned above).
3. Is there anything dramatically wrong the map/tune as it stands now? (Attachment 177911, Attachment 177909) Attachment 177913

My plan is (I guess?) is to keep searching/reading and then begin to make more WOT runs while adjusting fuel/timing, and the rest of the tune.

Alternatively, I'm also considering just calling it quits and bringing the car to a tuner (any recommendations in the NJ area?). I never really cared for this approach, but I need to at least get into the ball park. Another alternative is the paid TunerStudio I suppose?
Anyway, I know this somewhat of a vague thread, but I'm really just looking for some preliminary guidance for my specific situation, instead of constantly using my car like a guinea pig to learn the fundamentals.

Thanks in advance,
Joe

Have you confirmed the timing is correct with a timing light? This can cause numerous idle issues.

I did during the initial startup. But I will absolutely reread the process tonight and check again. Thanks!

Get the paid version of tunerstudio and thank me later.

I reconfirmed timing with a timing light and ended up adjusting it by one degree. So I was good on the front!

Got the paid version, and it's later, so THANK YOU. Haha. The added functionality is amazing! I plan to play with the Closed loop idle settings as well, but just running VE Analyze alone has dramatically improved idle under various conditions. Thanks again!
