ah okay, does MS allow you to bump timing, and control timing like Bipes? Also, where can i get a PnP through?

MSPNP is a full standalone-- you want 30 degrees of timing, you program that on the map, 25 degrees, tell it that. You have full control of your ignition table, no piggyback trickery involved.

I'm sure I already know the answer to this, but will you be making minor adjustments to the installation page you have? The main thing I'm referring to is the proper way to control idle and A/C. I just finished building mine for my 97 which will be running in parallel, but I think over time when the car becomes track only, I will be eliminating the stock ECU altogether.

Dow.tom-- we don't have current plans for a pre-order, but we should have plenty ready in order to keep up with demand.

karter74-- We do make our MSPNP maps public which people can pull our settings out of which we've found to work well with our MSPNP units-- and that includes having put a good bit of work into getting the idle control working pretty well. It's easier on the 94+ cars with a TPS to work with...

Whew! I was getting tired of keeping it quiet. :)

I'm one of the beta testers, and I installed the ECU in about an hour (running the MAP sensor line was the hardest part.

The car fired right up, rumbled at 400 RPM for like 4 seconds and settled in to a nice 1500 RPM idle... after about 2 minutes when the engine warmed up, it was down 900 RPM and a very steady, nice idle. It's awesome.

the first thing to do was lock in the timing so the mechanical cam timing would match what the ECU thought the timing was. It's amazing.. you make a change on the laptop, hit "Burn to ECU" and the idle RPM change is instantaneous, then settles back down to 800-900 and the mechanical cam timing has changed. It's eerie. :)

The car's ready to drive as soon as you lock in the timing. I had to be vigilant not to floor it since my car's supercharged and there's no mapping for boost. That'll come soon since my LC-1's finally installed. But that was finished yesterday.

I'm completely happy with the fit, finish, and ready-to-go-ness (?) of the PnP. Guys who don't have the time to build a unit would DEFINITELY benefit from this. It's sweet.

Finally, we can talk about this! I'm the N/A beta tester and my 95 has been running great with the PNP. It cranks right up, idles nicely, and pulls strong for an N/A car. I was amazed how quickly Jerry installed it and how the car fired right up on the first try.

(This explains why I've been trying to sell the kit that I built... :))

I still need to pull the mass air flow sensor to see how it runs with out that restriction in the intake. Hopefully I'll be able to work on that this weekend.

Yes, I have turbo parts laying in on my work bench, it will probably be a few months before I install them.

quick question.... with the IAT setu to remove the MAF o hte 94 can you run VTA without any ill side affects/

As Magna said, with with the MSPNP you can VTA with no problems-- the load is calculated via the MAP sensor reading from the manifold, not at the MAF. It's the MAF/AFM that causes issues with venting to the atmosphere as it's already metered that air that you're ditching...
