Noob question r43 ms3x build

This is probably a super dumb question, but I'm just not 100% sure so I wanted to check.

I'm doing a ms3x build, intent is to run sequential spark using Toyota COPS with batch fuel.

I'm following through the build manual and just wated to clarify instruction 22) R43 is intended to allow coil current to be measured if you are using the Q16 high current coil driver. Unless you have access to an oscilloscope and plan on performing this test you won't need it. Either install R43 or link it out

I'm assuming for my setup the I just solder a wire where the resistor would have gone ?

Thanks in advance for yr help !

R43 isn't even a part of the circuit that drives the Toyota COPs.

Yup, that's what I thought - I guess I'm just struggling with the term "Link it out" - that means I put a wire across where the resistor would go ?? or just leave the resistor off ?

Link it out would mean running a wire between the two terminals, bypassing R43.

However, the circuit containing R43 gets bypassed for this install anyway.
