Just bought this. Megasquirt I - PNP Harness (needs one lead resolderd) - 90 Degree Serial Swivel Cable - Serial to USB Converter Cable - Aluminum Mounting Plate (fits in 1.6L OEM ECU Location; bolt-in) - GM AIT Sensor & Wire - OEM TPS & Wells VTPS (needs to be retrofitted) - 460cc RX7 PNP Injectiors (injector doctor cleaned tested) Now, i plan on removing my afm. Do i need to purchase anmore components? Also do i NEED a VTPS, can i use my orig one? How hard would it be to retrofit my wells VTPS. Also, for my 200whp goal, would i need a 190lph or 255 lph fuel pimp? I have a 93 eunos roadster m/t, 1.6 that has a custom Vmount, and t25 turbo. |
get little connectors for the IAT sensor into the MAF harness.
VTPS is not required. I don't have it and the car is tuned well enough that I don't think VTPS will make any noticable difference. I'd buy the 255 pump if you're going to spend the money. |
sell your 460 injectors and buy my 550cc :bigtu:

couldnt i de-solder a old afm and remove the "male" plug from the afm and make a "jumper harness"?

Can i use my freinds tuning wideband? Or do i have to have one actually hardwired? His just has two alligator clips and a cable with a guage, just to have in the cabin while tuning...
|
190lph, unless you want to run a afpr. Read the FAQ sticky for why.
WBO2 is SO over-rated. Don't bother. j/k. YES, you need a wideband. Your MS1 can tune to afr targets. You can datalog to tune, etc etc. |
when you do to AFM removal you need to jumper the fuel pump.
I added a switch to turn the pump off when im messing with the ecu with the engine off. Its a nice little touch. you can put it in your center console near the trunk release for stealthiness. |
Get a wideband.. Take a look at 14point7.com for a cheaper wideband.
The guy is local to the GTA. |
On-board wideband is the best diagnostic tool you'll ever have.
