Odd issue after fan install

Hey all,

I just reinstalled the oem fans to my mishimoto radiator. Install went fine and car was driving idling ok. Till I went into boost and noticed I was only boosting 2-3psi. Turns out I forgot to tighten a clamp and one of my couplers was popping off on my ic pipe.

Ok so I fixed that. Car was running fine again, holding boost, all feels normal. Drove to my gf's and about half way there my idle got all screwy, It's idling around 1500 rpms. I can't tell if I have another vacuum leak somewhere or maybe something got screwy on my tune. Vacuum was normal around -19inHg when i left.

Could you all take a peak at this log and just lemme know if you see anything out of place? I'm going to try and get under the car tomorrow and see if I missed anything. But I'm pretty sure I need to track down a vacuum leak I just need peace of mind it's not the ecu side of things.

TY

Ok so I was spraying around with some carb cleaner and the only place i got idle droop was behind the block. At first I thought maybe injector 4 but sprayed that and got no effect. I could only get idle to droop when I spray from the passenger side of the car to the back of the motor. I thought maybe it was my vacuum line for my boost gauge and ms so I replaced that. No change. Would the master brake cylinder vacuum line effect idle? The heater core hoses? I can't think of what else is back there that I could be hitting with the carb cleaner. Suggestions?

I did an idle valve test following these instructions. But I'm not entirely sure I'm inputing them right. Can someone check this for me?

At 100% I was seeing around 4400rpms. At 60% I was seeing around 2500rpms. At 30% I was seeing around 800rpms.

Hmmm, a big ass vacuum hose connected directly to the intake manifold? Sure, that might suck a bit of air, especially when the throttle plate is closed and you're at max vacuum.. The EGR is back there too, maybe something's come loose or is leaking around that?

LOL Yea I realized that after typing it but was too lazy to go back and edit. :giggle:

Ok I'm thrown for a loop here. I honestly don't know what I did. But the car is idling fine now. I changed to a tune from a fellow msm set up like mine is that has a different ecu firmware version. Started the car and it was running like crap. So I swapped back to my tune. Then I was running more idle valve tests and turned off the test and now the car is idling how it was before. Perfect 800-900rpms.

So I'm not 100% sure what i did really, I don't think I changed any settings. So I give up! The car is running fine now and I've drove it to work and back with no problems yet. I just don't know sometimes... Dumb luck?

Use the compare tune feature in TS to see which settings were different between the tunes. This may give you a clue as to why it was idling poorly.

edit: I looked over the first tune you posted and the idle valve frequency is set to only 30.5 Hz.
