OEM or Bosch Knock sensor with internal module

Hi guys,

as Rev hasn't finished my EnhMS3 yet I upgraded my "old" Frank-DIYMS3 with the internal knock module from DIYAutotune.

What are your experiences on the 99-00 cars with the choice of the knock sensor.

Better to use the OEM knock sensor or a Bosch style one? Both of them are lying on my bench...

What settings do you use, that gave you good results?

Hopefully I won't even have to use my old MS3 on my car anymore (might use it on our 94 1,9 then...) - still hoe that Rev gets the gorgeous EnhMS3 done soon...

I have Revs MS3basic on my MK2.5 as we speak. I opted for the optional Knock sensor board (which is similar to the JSM one DIY sell).

Rev has it wired up to use my stock sensor, I can see the advantage in using that sensor as it's been tuned to our particular engine.

Could you please post your actual settings? Thanks!

Don't know if I can.

My knock sensor stuff was disabled when I received the ECU, I emailed Rev last night asking about the settings as I don't know if they are settings he's dialled in, or just 'base' settings as per a blank .msq.

If they are Revs settings I don't know how happy he'd be about posting them.

Y8s has a thread on MS3 knock settings (with the OEM sensor).
