64 pin ECU connectors
For those of you looking to buy the infamous "64 Pin Male connector (174518-7)" to build your plug and play standalone Megasquirt I will be making a group buy thread soon. I've already placed an order for 25 pieces and will be selling them for 10 to 15 USD shipped once I find out how much customs will be. Just a heads up and consolidation thread since I found a few others who wanted the same thing. Should be ready to go in about a month, depends on shipping time from onlinecomponents.com

Why are you doing a group buy and selling them for such a high price? Weren't they originally around $3.50 a piece IIRC. It is a decent way for someone to get just the large 64pin connector. Maybe you should explain why you're going about this compared to people buying their own or two people buying in on a full set of connectors on their own to make the minimum price point.

This isn't a group buy in the traditional sense, I'm not trying to secure people into buying units ahead of time. I'm in Canada so I had to pay $100 minimum. The next price break was at 25 pieces which came out to 5.06USD/piece *and* shipping. I'm strictly guessing that once things get to my door this will be up to $8/piece. With shipping back to the states I hope to keep it to $10 all told. 10-15 is just a range which I know it will be in.
They are $3.95 with a minimum order of 216 units. The total however has to be $35 from onlinecomponents.com if you're in the states. If you buy one alone then it will be $5.64 plus a service fee of $29.
I searched for this piece alone because I plan on doing a standalone MS install which I would like to keep removable or at least clean. Searching for threads on this came up mostly with other people in Canada with the same issue. Vague responses of 'found it as something-something-64 on ebay' didn't really help so I bought a ton and need to slowly get rid of them. If this is useful to someone, great, if not I'll build a lego tower out of them or something.
I think 10 or even 15 is still better when you realize this is the only physical difference between MS and MSPNP. People making parallel installs according to the FAQ instructions probably won't need this since the extra components they use will bring the cost up to or near the minimum order price from most retailers.
TL;DR: Inflation, shipping, 10-15 to your door. Project financed, no pressure on anyone to buy anything.
