Ok, im going to MS. Can someone double check this list just to be sure?

Im finally gonna go MS. Ok, so here is all the stuff I have lined up.. can someone double check this?

MS PCB V 3.0 Kit

IAT sensor kit

Boost control mod kit, GM soloniod, pigtail connector

All the parts for the boomslang connector kit from onlinecomponets

Anything else I should get? The only other thing is a stim, but I might beable to borrow one.. if not ill buy the Stim.

Also, what is the purpose of the 4 bar sensor?

Thanks guys, I know these threads are annoying, but I dont want to forget anything.

P.S Brainiack, thanks a ton for your write up, it helps so much.

That list looks just fine. You might want to add the 2' wire bundle. It comes with these nice labeled/colored wires that fit perfectly in the DB37 pins and make the harness building very easy. Plus the bundle comes with the shielded input wire which is nice.

The 4 bar mapdaddy sensor is used for people running more than 21 psi, but the real reason why most people run it is for realtime barometric correction. In other words, when going from sea level to high elevation driving (mountain runs) the MS will automatically adjust VE to maintain correct AFRs with elevation change.
I don't have one. Just installed one for a friend though, very nice piece.
Now with the 4 bar, you lose some resolution and it is an extra $65. You don't need it, though it is a nice luxury.
FWIW, all of the MSPNPs now come with the mapdaddy sensor i believe.

Alright, thanks alot. Ill get the wire bundle, and ill skip on the 4 bar sensor, I dont need it. Now all I have to do is sell my bandaids and order it all!

Yes that wiring. It used to be 2' or 24". Guess someone didn't like the fact that they only got 23". It's worth buying.

man, I was just messing with megatune on my computer, and boy is some of it daunting.

Quick Q, how do you properl set the rq fuel for different injectors? I get all of it except what a/f you are supposed to put in?

neogenesis2004 12-15-2007 11:11 PM

you put in 14.7. thats stoichiometric for gasoline.

Have you seen the hydra or AEM tuning software. It's like linkenlogs versus k-nex with all the electrical motors and belts. Be happy, you're using a very powerful yet simple to use application to tune your car.

Oh no, im happy. Im just saying it looks daunting at first, ill figure it out in no time. It amazes me how I can have boost, timeing, and fuel control for under $350.

And thanks neo, I wasent sure if you were supposed to put in stoich or what.
