Output port settings
Can someone save me from making dumb assumptions about setting up output ports in the DIYPNP I'm preparing for my '94 Roadster?
I'm enabling PA0 to operate the rad fan and I just want to check that I understand a couple of settings which I can't find documented - the port settings "Power On Value" and "Trigger Value" which can each be 1 or 0. I initially thought "Power On Value" was choosing whether the port output was active high or active low, but on second thoughts I now assume it's the initial status of the port when the ignition's on. If so, that should be "0". And "Trigger Value" I assume is the port status when the conditions are met, so that should be "1" (when Coolant is greater than whatever temp I set). Is that right, or am I misunderstanding? |
to set up you fan
youll do 0 | 1 then coolant > 200 hystersis 10 so at 201*F, the fan will turn on, and at 190*F, the fan will turn off. |
That's great, thanks.
0 | 1 it is. |
