Default Couple quick questions!

I did search for these, couldn't find the answer. One of them is not tuning related but is so simple that anyone who knows tuning should know.

- is there a way to force megasquirt to inject the same amount of fuel it was for say .5 sec after letting off the throttle? This would prevent any turbo lag when getting back on it (yes i know, not good for the turbo).

-running mapdot/air temp on my mspnp2. air temp sensor should be located as close to the intake manifold as possible. correct?

-installing aftermarket bov. there is an upper fitting and a lower fitting. best place to pipe both those fittings to?

Thanks for the help guys. for those who gave me a hard time about having a low car, you'll all be happy to know it's at 12.5 now with no camber!

1. The direct way of doing what you're saying is to add a bunch of fuel on negative mapdot accel enrichment, don't do this. Maybe antilag is what you want?

2. No. It will heat soak. Place it just past the intercooler, such that the exterior of the sensor is in ambient air path.

3. RTFM

Antilag is exactly what I want. Couldn't find an easier way to do it though. Guess i'll keep reading. Thanks for the information. I was surprised too I couldn't find anything on the bov.

Still cannot find a solid example of how to use antilag with mspnp2 without wiring up a separate circuit and all other kinds of backyard engineering

I'm pretty sure Megasquirt supports antilag.

Edit: Posted that before I saw your last response.

Do you see ALS in TunerStudio? I don't have my laptop around that has MS2 firmware, but on MS3 it looks simple to set up.

I don't see ALS in tunerstudio. But I'm pretty new to using it. If someone happens to find out where the option is, I'd like to know.

he has MS2, not MS3.

just enable flat shifting. are you like racing for pinks or something?

Does MS2 have accel-pump yet? Probably not. With MS3 you can control if [and how much] you want to add/subtract fuel when you lift.

why are you running pure mapdot? I like to mix in maybe 15-20% MAPdot to help with cold mornings, but more than that when you can run TPSdot is silly. MAPdot is reactionary where TPSdot is inline. Position of the air temp matters little so long as it's getting a quasi-accurate reading of intake temps.

Upper fitting goes post-TB (vacuum). Lower fitting should go pre-TB (boost only). I could actually type out why, but I'd rather go get donuts and coffee right now.

I could enable flatshifting to do this, but honestly (sounds stupid) doing that really cramps my driving style. it doesnt feel right. I'm running pure mapdot because i belive that na doesn't come with a linear TPS, it's either on or off? either that, or mine was broken. BUt I believe the auto tranny came with the linear tps. I'm still in the middle of the build, so it's not really completed yet anyway. This is my first turbo build ever. Also, I should have clarified that i was aware of the principal of the bov, that it should equalize out etc, but just wasn't sure the best place and which was which. it's just a crappy ebay bov. The only other one I could find with the vaccum and the boost barb was the greddy type s. Thanks for the help! Looking forward to finishing up the build as it gets warmer

I can tell you with utmost certainty the greddy type s leaks.

Synapse engineering is one the only bov i tested that didn't leak or cause backspin, and has the ports/barbs you require. (i tested every bov on the market, including tial q)
