parallel megasquirt install fans don't work
All,
With all your help I've got my 97 miata running fantasticly.. except for one small detail. Apparently the fans don't come on. I expected the stock ECU to kick them on, but it's not happening. I am going to go to a standalone configuration to simplify the situation. From the wiki I see the easiest way to control fan is D15. From the photo here. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_uktR45iHc4Q/S_...standalone.jpg Do you remove D15? I assume that you no longer need JS0 connection or the Diode. I do however need to put the diode on the harness between the AC fan and the standard fan.. If I want to test the fans without a computer plugged in, do I just give 12V to 1A and 1B? http://www.boostedmiata.com/gallery2...ne_harness.jpg Thanks again! |
If you want to test the fans operation, open your diagnostics connector and jump TFA and GND.
the ECU controls the fans, so if you have a MS running the show, it needs to be modded to run fan control...you should only use the D15 circuit for fan control if you've replaced the 3904 transistor with a 2PN2222 |
