Parallel or Standalone

Hey I'm looking to get opinion on a MS build.

Car is currently NA

Car will be Rotrex supercharged in near future.

Initial goal of 200whp eventually plan 275whp

2000 NB

Now question is parallel or standalone?

I do not have any knowledge in tuning and will have all my work done my a tuner. As much as I would love to tune, it is extremely intimidating to me and I would rather have someone else do it as I am not comfortable with it.

Given this would parallel be enough for my goals? I know that some functions cannot be used with parallel but I like the idea of my AC and idle working properly without having to spend lots of money and time having my tuner dial it in.

Also COP's or no COP's?

and whats all this hype about sequential injection? Is it worth the trouble of doing it?

The whole point is I want to do it once, do it right. At the same time I do not want to spend money if it is not needed. The 275whp goal is a few years from now so my main focus at the time is NA, and 200whp supercharged.

I am running a Haltech Sprint 500. It can be set up in parallel (to keep the stock IAC valve working... this is ALL the stock ECU controls) and the brain controls pretty much everything except the idle and AC if you have it. I am running it stand alone and my idle is fine with 300* cams but no PS or AC. I am running sequential injection and direct spark. Can't say if it's worth it but it's supposed to help with idling. Direct spark comes in handy if you're running LS2 coils like me that have a high dwell time. When fired in waste spark they are being charged 2 times per engine revolution, rather than once in direct fire.

I am running a 1.6L with a Rotrex. Rotrex tuning will happen this Thursday.

Standalone. You'll sleep at night knowing you didn't have to hack into your harness or make some complicated jumper harness.

Plus most of the better ECUs can control everything you need for a street car.

Except, of course, OBDII.

full standalone my haltech sprint 500 is now controlling everything.
