okay

Formal request to change "connection" to "conniption."

I want it to be in the correct cells. Right now, in the timing table you set up (haven't changed that) wot at 7000 is 31.4 because its in the 80kpa row. That's what I don't like. It should be adjusting timing and fuel due to a different pressure.

Unless wot at 80kpa is like 80% throttle at sea level, in which case, I guess it doesnt matter. That's what I meant by my question in my first post.

Why is this bad? It's got 80kpa, that's what that cell was tuned for, so that's why it's there.

I could be WAY off with this, but all i ever had to do to account for high elevation (and i've run standalone-equipped Miatas to over 12k') is just add fuel. Never touched timing.

I just e-tuned a Miata in Tahoe (4 or 5k elev I think) a month or two ago, no issues.
I'm currently e-tuning a car in PA I think, also no issues.

Key on, note map reading, input into set baro, unless you have properly working dual-baro sensors or properly working initial map reading function, be happy :)

Ok so I found out what wad happening.

Incorporate Afr was turned off, so I turned this on.

I could then autotune fuel ve, and actually have afr targets.

i forget the setting name, but the one that samples the baro pressure key on engine off is on.

now i need to input baro correction % for each kpa range I drive in.

this wont help me when the car is running, but this will rescale (i think) the fuel ve table when i turn the engine off then key on for a few seconds.

i just sent an email to dimitris, to find out what kind of values mean which direction in correction.

Then i done. Maybe ill play with vvt some more who knows. This is fun.

btw the car pulls noticeably harder. Probably only a couple wtq but its fun!

All of those settings are different from how we tuned the car. I don't know what you did, but it's all obviously changed/different.
If you want I can re-send you the map that I actually tuned.

Sounds like you changed a ton of settings without any idea what they do, which is exactly what I told you 1000000 times not to do, and need to start with a fresh map that's not all screwed up. No one can help you if you never follow instructions. Sometimes I want to scream at you........................

.........lovingly of course :giggle:

I didn't change any settings until these past few days. (and multiplying the fuel ve table back when I was making my first trip back to utah) The ecu is possessed. Fun fact... in the middle of being in one save file, it will just switch to a previous file. I'll catch it pretty soon, since the afrs are all different, but the first time it happened was really annoying.

Anyways, I've been reading up on stuff, and have a basic handle of the simple things I have changed.

In case anyone was wondering, to use the barometric correction % table, you must do the following (per Dimitris)

To use the % column, you first have to disable the old-style correction system.
Go to Tools -> Calibrate Map/Baro, and on the bottom where it says Baro Correction, replace the 147/-47 figures with 0 in both.
The enter 100% in all the "Baro correction curve" table. This means "No correction".
105% means add 5% fuel; 95% means pull 5% of fuel.

I stand corrected. If the ecu is possessed and keeps turning off random settings, you're gonna have one heck of a time dialing the car in lol
