It technically isn't on a registered and road driven car as far as I know.

Just thinking out loud, but what about rigging up a GM ecu like all the LS guy's use? Maybe just short-term? They have OBD2, you can write a VIN to them, you can play with the OBD monitors,and tune them. :dunno:

you know whats an even better idea? rigging up a stock ecu for a few days...

Yea. I was looking at it from a spend some time on it once and then every year after that just plug it in and go. Especially if the EGR is gone. I guess it depends how much time you have on your hands. Most states allow one or two monitors to not be set to pass. And I'm pretty sure you can program the monitors to never set.
