Preparing MS 2.2 for a 1.6 v. spark mod
Hi. I have a bone stock '92 (no a/c) I'm preparing for standalone. I bought a 2.2 kit, and need to do all the mods to get it on the car.
So far, I got.. fan relay mod kit IAC valve control mod kit IAT sensor kit (I know this is optional) and pull-up resistor's mod kit. is anything else listed there optional? I just wanna get the car running for now. I've looked through all the stickies and diyautotune's pages and they don't seem to cater to the 2.2 much (mostly v3). So I will be running the IAT to remove my AFM, but only after I get the car running well. The only thing I can't find much info on is the "spark mod" for v2.2. My question is how do I prepare my MS2.2 for spark? DIYautotune's page sends me to the MS-Extra index page, but there's a whole slew of info there I can't seem to find my way through. Any help would be greatly appreciated! also, anyone know the part # for the 64-pin female connector in newark's website? |
Why did you buy a V2.2 instead of a V3.0? Like doing things the hard way? There's one guy here running the V2.2, his name is Elusjian or something like that (I know I butchered it). Search for threads by him and read up. It will answer some of your questions.
BTW, I still say get a V3.0 and build that instead. |
the concept is exactly the same for a 3.0 and 2.2 board....you just gotta match the inputs and outputs correctly.

thanks so much. I'll try it out!
