I have a co-worker with a PLX. It's readings are all over the place compared to my LM-1 standalone. My LM-1 standalone agrees with my LC-1, which agreed (to X.01:1) with the high dollar widebands at 2 different dynos.

Spend the $50 extra bucks and get the LC-1.

Who remembers the link to the wideband shootout?

Also, it's going to probably take you YEARS to break even from savings in increased economy to pay for the MS, not to mention all the time you've invested. Seems like false economy.

You might want to just get an LC-1 to simulate a NB to the stock computer, but set the switchpoint to like 16:1. The stock PCM in these cars are pretty dumb and won't know the difference and won't learn around it. It still might take nearly a year to pay for the LC with gas savings, but it would be a ton more practical.

On my completely stock engine (except for gutted AFM), I am getting about 4-5 mpg more with the MS/LC-1 combo. Might not be such a bad idea after all.

But I do agree, paying off MS with increased gas mileage, not too appealing.
