Problems with ECU (Westfieldmx5 Megasquirt)
Dear all,
I am doing a 1.8 VVT swap in my Mazda NA. I have a westfieldmx5 megasquirt and I am trying to connect with vvt system so I can use it. I just have no idea where to put the signal wire from the vvt to. I don't have AC so I could possibly use the AC OUT cables, unfortunately, I don't know where they are either. hopefully, someone can help me with this. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...6c16411ec.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...7ad949fa6.jpeg |
Looks like injector E, F, and G are spare outputs. Grab an ECU pin, crimp a wire to it, and add it to wherever those are pinned.

That's not a Megasquirt, is it?

Apparently no. It's a pirate clone, so an illegal copy and should receive no support from anyone.

vOv idk about stuff like that, just found it after some googling and it seemed like some diypnp-like project. He's selling DIY solder boards to be used in combination with MS3 daughterboards and also fully assembled units.
What makes it a pirate clone - just curious ? |
To use the MS3 firmware on an MS3x processor, the processor must be on a licensed board. Aka official B&G MS3 daughterboard (white or black), MS3-pro module, MS3-pro ECUs (universal or PnP) or the EFI Source MS3 Gold Box. All these are licensed MS3 products and only these are allowed to run the MS3 firmware.

Well that is a bummer. I wonder when he went to the dark side.
I use his MS3PRO module carrier and it is great. I have worked with him on technical stuff a few times and he was helpful. I am disappointed |
I don’t think he went to the dark side. He only sells the navy blue board underneath the green “MS3” board.
|
If he designed the blue board to accept the counterfeit green board, he's on the dark side.
