pulling timing
right now my timing is too far advanced to pass emissions. My offset is set to 8*. I need to pull about 10* off of then complete map. We do a dyno tail pipe emission test.
Can I just change the offset to 0 or -2 to accomplish this? |
I'm going to answer this in a couple of parts.
First off, how do you know you are "too far advanced"? You haven't told us where you are, so I can only assume that you live somewhere in the vicinity of Buford, Georgia, which means you don't have a California-style visual inspection to deal with and are thus making this determination based on tailpipe numbers (which you also haven't told us.) Second, I'm having a hard time figuring out what an "offset of 8°" means. Is that your trigger angle? Is your idle advance 8°? Etc. If you really do want to just drop the whole map by 10 degrees, do this: http://img40.imagefra.me/i5c6/thradd..._6af_u77ts.gif |
I don't have that tool in TS
But messing around I figured out how to manipulate the whole table. |
Yeah you do have that in TS.
All the menus are defined by your firmwares .ini all that's changed is the button to activate it. Use the asterix button and you can scale by whatever figure. |

I can highlight the whole table and change it. |
TS can detect what firmware you have, goto project properties and tell it to detect your ECU.
