Pwm idle help
 

Ok, so i have been playing with my ms2 for a while now. Its in a 90 that is naturally aspirated(for the moment). Im having a problem trying to get my idle to work good. Right now Im using a closed loop idle and it works ok, but its idling too high (1600rpm cold) (1300rpm warm).

Once I restart the car, either by burning something to the ecu, or turning it on then off, the idle goes normal (900rpm).
Was wondering what the ms2 guys are using for idle settings.

Could you post a data log of the problem happening - a "before and after" type log? I'll have a look at these.

ok, so i think i figured out why i had the problems i did....
If you look at my settings i had tps threshold set at 2.
I don't have a tps yet (in the mail) so my tps number hovers around 13-25.
So my idle valve seemed to be just using the first number it turned on with and didn't adjust to keep the idle.

I'm going to post my idle settings in a little while. Im wondering if there is a way to keep my car from idling so low when the lights / heater is on....
It automatically adjusts back to my idle, but i don't want it to dip so low (600rpms) when i turn them on.

Anyone know what setting might help?

Are you using closed loop or open loop idle?

Closed loop idle. Its working great except for that.

Try more spacing between the open and closed duty. Use the IAC test mode to keep opening the IAC until the speed does not go up to find the fully open duty. You might also need more proportional gain.
