Question about VEAL not adjusting fuel quick enough for my liking while in boost
I've searched for discussion on this, maybe I'm not wording it correctly?
Last year I installed a brain built MS3. I just finished my 2560 kit, installed myself and got it on the road last week. I'm at about 4-6 pounds and have gotten most of my fuel table auto tuned with VEAL. The car has about 3 hours of drive time on it while being auto tuned, most of that being only a few pounds and up to about 5k rpm. VEAL is set to Easy cell change resistance. It was at Normal, but from what I understand Easy can get me close to the AFR targets and then Normal and Hard can fine tune the figures. At up to about 125% I hit my AFR target, but above that I seem to get to about 13.5 or so and that makes me nervous. VEAL shows that its adding fuel every time I go out and run it but I feel like it should be closer to my 12.2 target by now. I'm questioning if I hit 13.5 every time I get above 125 if I should add fuel, run rich and then let VEAL tune it out, instead of the opposite? Maybe I should richen my target to get the fuel out of the 13s? Any input is appreciated. Thanks. |
VEAL will only make so much of a change at a time; tune the problem area by hand, then go back in with VEAL.

Ok, that's what I was thinking would be the best way to go. Any suggestion as to how much fuel to add to start with?

Add 10% more fuel and let it do the rest

Thanks guys
