Replacing Link with MS
Guys I had replaced my stock ECU with the FM Link, and now, in search of more control over the tune, I am going to MS the car.
It is a 1.8L 97 RHD Miata with 550 CC injectors, GT2560R, Bell Engineering headers and a custom exhaust. The car still has the A/C and P/S systems in place and I want to keep them for now. My question is, and yes I have searched, what do I need to think about to have the MS completely replace the Link? Are there any got-cha's to be aware of? Thanks DB |
what will the MS give you over the LINK that will give you MORE control?

Would you say you had a bad tune? Less than optimal? What would you say you're "leaving on the table" by running Link? Thanks, just curious. |
you can have the MS to anti lag, launch control, WI/NOS/Extra injector control, and barometric correction

Most of these features are part of the Megasquirt's fuel and/or spark control, so it would be hard if not impossible to combine them with a second ECU.

Traction Control, launch control, anti-rev, water injection, higher/finer density on the fuel and ignition tables, more outputs to connect to..... and so on!

no, it has lower resolution. i remember having to interpolate values when i was translating the FM link spark table.
