Default Tuner Studio not reading wideband

I've got a Rev built MS3 basic on my 01. I'm using an AEM 30-4110 UEGO. I'm using the Can Bus module. As the instructions say I hooked the blue wire from the module to the blue wire on the wideband. All I get on TS is a full lean reading. It seems like most of the issues variance in the reading between TS and the wideband gauge output. Any advice?

I'm going to guess you have it still pointed at the analog wideband input instead of the CAN. I believe Trackspeed has the instructions on their website that shows how to properly set the module up.

Try calibrated fuel in the drop down menu at top. Choose aem.

I will double check to make sure can command is activated. The instructions on track speeds site are the same ones that Rev ships with his units. Pretty sure it is, as I do recall everything else being deactivated. As far as choosing the gauge there are two AEM gauge options neither one says 30-4110.

Which aem I don't know. Search or try one and see if it matchs up. If not try other.

can command was activated. Unless I am missing something else in these instructions. Still no luck. I've tried both AEM Linear 30-42xx and Linear (30-2310 & 30-4900) along with Custom Linear WB

Always use Innovate LC-1/LC-2 when using the CAN module.

Make sure the wideband input port in TS is set to CAN EGO.

Make sure CAN EGO is enabled under CAN Bus/Test modes -> CAN EGO. The correct parameters are ID: 9, Table: 0, Offset: 0.

Can you elaborate on the second thing? I had already tried the LC-1/LC-2 as it was the default. I even tried loading the INI file again with a new project. CAN EGO is enabled and the parameters in the table were set as you required.

Fuel Settings -> AFR/EGO Control -> EGO input port: CAN EGO

What is the AEM gauge displaying when the TS gauge is saying 18.4?

At idle it will want to idle anywhere near 10 to ~11.8 once warmed up. At warm up it does idle around 11-13 never 14.7. At cruise the gauge reads super rich from 10-11 rarely hits 12 or higher at cruise unless i let off the gas and cause injectors to close and it leans out for a second then it goes back to almost full rich.

Tried a new wideband gauge to rule out a bad controller in the UEGO, read 14.7 on the TS dashboard, but now i'm getting a 4.50 AFR reading, still no communication between the wideband and ECU. Gauge is grounded to the black ground wire on the ECU. Just going over some settings making sure everything is right. Opened up the CAN module and the LED labeled CAN was blinking blue, serial was solid blue. What seemed to be a straight forward install didn't really turn out to be that. Any other suggestions? Anybody else that has first hand experience with the CAN wideband module? I even tried bypassing the CAN module using the analog output wire from the gauge to the yellow wire on the ECU. I don't know the setting for the analog input in MS though.

I have been having the same issue with the wideband CAN unit. I have a functioning AEM that is currently setup to provide analog feed into MS. This has worked fine for the last year and a half. I have recently tried to install a new wideband CAN unit that Rev sent me (old one did not work properly with the AEM). I get blinking blue on CAN led, the serial just like yours is solid blue.

I am almost 100% sure that the AEM wideband is sending the digital signal correctly, as I did have the first unit working, it just spit out numbers that were slightly off from reality. I have ordered a USB to serial converter so I can make sure 100% that the signal is getting sent. Will let you know what I find out.

For now, you should be able to just use the analog signal. Under Fuel Settings - AFR/EFO Control, change EGO 1 port to Normal EGO, EGO sensor to Wide Band, and under Tools- calibrate AFR table, pick the AEM.

And to add to the madness, a customer ordered an MS3, CAN module and AEM wideband all prewired together. The AEM's digital output was dead on arrival (brand new gauge) and I had to replace it with a new one before sending the lot out. The analog was working, the gauge was working, just not the digital output.

I have the analog hooked up successfully. What are the voltage settings and what would be an acceptable tolerance range in difference between the reading on the gauge and reading in TS since I understand there may be some variance. Where do we go from here with this CAN module? Is it being chalked up as an AEM issue? I thought about getting an innovate, but I see people who have successfully got it to work with the AEM. So, I decided to get another 30-4110 kit and tried the new gauge. I really don't want to be having to buy a wideband for the 3rd time now.

Can we keep troubleshooting this one over email? It's hard to keep everything in my head over this forum, m.net and email. Email works best for troubleshooting due to attachments and easy searches. Email me the pic I asked about yesterday if possible.

Dimitris I will continue to work with you to troubleshoot it via email. Is it okay if I have both the blue wires connecting and the white analog output connected to the yellow wideband input wire. I will try to get you what you asked for once I get off of work this evening.

Switched to an innovate mtx-l digital out worked first fire like a charm. I find that the wiring harness for the innovate gauge is a lot nicer than AEM as well.
