basemap

Hmm there isnt such thing...
Rule #1 DO NOT use someone's map thinking that similar mods will yield similar results. Your **** will most likely blow up.
With that said, go to DIYautotune, download the base map w/o MAF for the 1.6. Then tune it accordingly to your set up. Spoon-feed ends here. Have a good one.

Just because I was a MS noob not too long ago....https://www.miataturbo.net/showthrea...&highlight=map
like the others have said, take info on here with a grain of salt....no two cars are the same. What I'm running could very well make your car go boom....
On a side note, its amazing how steep the learning curve is with MS. I feel like I'm a damn pro now and I've only been at it for a few weeks, lol. I'm still really careful with changes though

Megasquirt is not for everyone.
To start with, you definitely need to be fairly computer literate. If you are saving files, but they don't show up you might need a computer course before you start programing the MS.
If you're in a hurry you might want to return the car to stock then do a pile of reading.

The difference is you're not changing as many things at once, so the car is driveable the whole time and the learning curve isn't as steep.
The first time the MS was in my car it had no control, just the inputs wired up. I could datalog, set temp cals, verify all my sensors worked, flash w/o worry, etc....
Then I wired in the injectors. I was able to tune fuel only, while the stock ECU ran the ignition system. Took the ignition variables out of the setup.
The whole intent was to reduce possible failure points for troubleshooting purposes. The car never down, and I only had one change to look at for issues.
Can go a lot smoother than "Just plugged in my PNP standalone, now nothing works"
